On the 11th of July 2006, Microsoft announced that they would no longer be supporting Windows 98 and Windows Me as operating systems.

Microsoft views these products as outdated and therefore will not release any new security updates for either Windows 98 or Windows Me. This means that there will be an increased security risk for anyone still using either of these on their computer, and that you will not be protected against any new viruses or other threats that may appear.

Therefore, for reasons of security, we would like to reiterate Microsoft's advice and recommend that customers who are still running these older versions of Windows upgrade to a newer, more secure operating system such as Windows XP.

To maintain the highest security possible for you, moving forward CMC Markets will no longer test future versions of Marketmaker® on these older operating systems. This will affect you because any Marketmaker® upgrades from now on cannot be guaranteed to be fully compatible with Windows 98 and Me. Once again, we recommend that you upgrade your operating system to a new version.
