What happens if I go into a tunnel and lose my
mobile signal?
Marketmaker:Mobile will detect if your phone's signal has been lost and display a connection
status screen. Once a signal returns,
Marketmaker:Mobile will automatically attempt to re-connect.

What happens if I lose my connection when I am in
the middle of a trade?
Just as with desktop
Marketmaker®, a trade may not reach CMC's servers if your network connection
is lost at an inappropriate time. If the order can be transmitted to CMC, the phone will display an accurate order status
screen upon reconnection. If the order cannot be transmitted, the phone will continue to display the order placement screen
upon reconnection. As with desktop
Marketmaker®, you should consult your All Orders blotter to
determine the status of any order.

Will trading on Marketmaker:Mobile be expensive?
There is no extra charge for using
Marketmaker® on your mobile - all you need to pay for are the
standard networking costs to your mobile network operator.
In our preliminary trials, we found the average GPRS data usage to be about 150K bytes per hour. Depending on trading patterns
and market volatility, you should expect this figure to vary, perhaps by double this amount, or more.
As a guideline, 150K bytes per hour on a standard Vodafone tariff of 2.35 per MB equates to around 35p per hour. It is worth
noting that most operators offer far better deals with bundled data packages.

securely over any phone network.

What happens if I am abroad?
Marketmaker:Mobile should operate over any GPRS data network. You are advised to check with
their mobile operator for pricing of GPRS data access abroad. This applies to customers outside of the UK as well, we will not
have tested with all providers but as long as the provider has a GPRS network, then
Marketmaker:Mobile should work.

I have just changed the timezone setting on my mobile device, but after I launched Marketmaker:Mobile, I have found that the wrong time zone is being used.
On some devices, there are some time zone settings which are not reported correctly to Java . If this is the case, go to the Tools > Settings screen in Marketmaker, select 'custom GMT offset' and enter the GMT offset that you require then select 'Apply'.
Marketmaker® will then use the custom GMT offset that you have configured.

I do not seem to be able to enter a negative custom GMT offset. What should I do?
On some devices, you cannot enter a '-' (minus) sign until a digit is entered. Enter a digit first, then move the cursor back to the left hand side of the digit just entered, then enter a '-' sign. The custom negative GMT offset can then be applied.
