Setting up Nokia 6280 for GPRS

Setup Instructions:

Select Menu
Select Settings (spanner image)
Scroll down and select Configuration
Scroll down and select Personal Configuration Settings
Select Add
Select Access Point
Set the Account Name to something easy to associated with a GPRS connection (e.g.<Service Provider Name> GPRS)
Select Access Point Settings
Make sure that Data Bearer is set to 'PACKET DATA'
Select Bearer Settings
Set the Packet Data access point to the Operator's specific setting
Set Authentication to 'Normal'
Set user name to the Operator's specific setting
Set password to the Operator's specific setting
Move Back to Configuration Settings
Select Preferred Access Point
Select the Preferred Access Point to the Access Point name in step 7.
NOTE: Some Firmware versions require the below settings
Connectivity > Packet Data > Packet Data Settings > Edit active access point > Alias for access point (something easy to associated with) then save > Packet data access point (relevant to the Operator)
