Setting up Nokia 6111 for GPRS


First you need to turn off Auto Save:

To do this, go to Web -> Settings -> downloading settings -> Turn automatic saving to OFF.

Network Setup:

  1. Go to Settings -> configuration -> personal configuration settings
  2. Set account name to any thing that you want (this is how you will refer to this connection)
  3. Go to Access Point Settings -> set data bearer to packet data
  4. Go to Bearer settings and set the APN address relevant to Operator
  5. Set Authentication type to Normal
  6. Set Username to the value relevant to the Operator
  7. Set Password to the value relevant to the Operator
  8. Once the personal account has been set-up, Activate the new account in personal configuration settings by pressing Options on the created account and click Activate.
  9. Check that in Settings > configuration the preferred access point is set to the new account created above
