Setting up XDA Trion for GPRS

aka i-mate JASJAM and HTC - TYTN

Menu options may change slightly for different versions of firmware.

Network Setup:

  1. From the Start Menu, select Settings -> Connections Tab -> Connections Icon
  2. From the Connections Menu, select Add a new modem connection from the My ISP section
  3. Set Name for the connection to anything you like (this is how you will refer to this connection)
  4. Select Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G) from the Select Modem drop down list
  5. Click on the Next button
  6. Set the Access Point Name to the value relevant to the Operator's
  7. Click on the Next button
  8. Set the User Name to the value relevant to the Operator's
  9. Set the Password to the value relevant to the Operator's
  10. Leave the Domain field blank
  11. Click the Advanced button
  12. Ensure that the Use server-assigned IP address is selected
  13. Click on the Servers tab
  14. Check the Use specific server address radio button
  15. Set the DNS to the value relevant to the Operator's
  16. Set the Alt DNS to the value relevant to the Operator's
  17. Click the ok button in the top right hand corner
  18. Click the Finish button
